The thing about Nintendo directs is they make cool stuff look like shit. The whole presentation is so brand and corporate. the voice overs are cringeworthy.
If they had just dropped trailers for a bunch of those games in a vacuum, people would think they were cool.
Mario Tennis with an adventure mode is cool, new Yoshi game is cool, new Fire Emblem is cool, Dragon Quest 7 remake is cool. When presented as part of a Nintendo direct, your brain just drifts over it all.

What you're not understanding is for every 1 of you there is 3-4 others who look at video games and go "Oh nintendo games are cool, I just don't have the time or money anymore to play them between life/work/job" and see us as a dying demographic.

Issue is as other replies further down put it our demographic is basically what they got because kids don't play consoles anymore. Problem is Nintendo being publicly traded is legally obligated to chase infinite growth which just simply doesn't exist anymore in the games industry.

They are in no position to announce day one dlcs for that trash after the whole patent shit. Honestly they should burn at this point. They are legitimately evil and the quality of their games is tanking hard. The new FE looks like shit but it is to be expected since it looks like it's going to be their next yearly release series. I was about to get a Switch 2 next week but I think I'll pass. I'll just upgrade my specs and pirate all of their shit out of spite.
