How do people unironically have the autism to replay a game multiple times in less than a year? Even games I love I only replay like once every couple years

Its not autism its not looking up new games.
Most people only play vydia to get quick dopamine shots. Its doesn't really matter what they are playing so long as its not frustrating and you get the dopamine.

Depends on the game

Ninja Gaiden changes enemy types and item locations on harder difficulties. You are meant to raise the difficulty on subsequent playthroughs.

Metal Gear Solid games can be beaten in a couple hours. They are fun to replay with various modifiers like shooting all the frogs in 3 or going for dog tags in 2.

Exactly, it's not just about replaying the same thing-it's about the layered content. Like in Resident Evil 4, you start with standard Leon, but then you've got unlockables, different routes, weapon challenges, and higher difficulties that totally recontextualize encounters. Some games are practically built for replays, with NG+ functioning as a reward loop. If you're only playing once and bouncing, you’re missing half the game in some cases.

Most games usually change or can change when replayed. Stuff like different difficulties, New Game Plus only content and in general, etc.

At first I thought "I do this a lot", but actually what I often do is restart a game before I'm finished to create a different character or try something different. And then sometimes I don't even finish the game. It's a problem but I guess I'm very indecisive.

he is a performative male. the only reason it looks good is because he was born attractive. imagine an average looking dude making these donutsteel pictures.

but you know whatever. i like cute girls doing cute things so if he wants to perform who am i to judge. what i do think is cringe is when another male posts pictures of "alpha" males. like yikes dude. it basically screams low value delusional male. at least post cute anime girls or something.

Sometimes games have multiple routes to take, different endings, different ways to play the game for different outcomes etc.
Did 3 playthrough of Bloodborne back-to-back, because of different endings but the game is damn good, same with REmake.

Most of my favorite games are very replayable, be it pvp like tekken or single player like bayonetta, not to mention racing sims in which I would spend countless hours driving the same car on the same tracks. Why even play the game if you're not enjoying the gameplay enough to warrant replaying it?

I have the specific brand of autism where knowing where everything is and how they respond actually increases my enjoyment of things. It turns chaos into comfort.
I rarely play new games as a result, and the sweet spot of replays is 8 or 9 times in a short period before I get bored, even if the game doesn't have so-called replay value.
Once I've repeatedly beaten a game like that it usually takes a month or two before I go back to it. I'm the AAA industry's worst nightmare.

it depends on the game, any sort of game where i can pick different characters/classes/skills/dialog/branching path/etc. etc. i'll play multiple times. when alpha protocol first came out i played that 3 times back to back picking the hubs in different order, romancing different girls, playing different skillsets, being a jerk instead of good, etc.

Same.
After a couple normal playthroughs I'll look for all the info I can find about a game and then I'll come up with complicated challenge runs where I can minmax and win with various restrictions. For my absolute favorites I keep coming back every year or so and adding even more gimmicks.

Its fun.
Also video games for me slows down the passage of time. Replaying something I already played doesnt do that, so I always focus on playing something new. I never 100% complete video games, but I've played over five hundred in my life.
