if you read the dev story he wrote, its clear he has bad time management, cries and feels pressure easily, and it is a miracle balatro got finished at all.
add less incentive to finish quickly now that he is a multi millionaire and silksong took 8 years for dlc, and you can see where this is heading. shame, as he has pretty good sense for game design / feel
