You'll either get better or drop it, you can't really get stronger. Try out the 3 main crests (hunter, reaper, wander) until one of them clicks with you then you should be able to streamroll the game.

Don't worry some of the fights are genuinely fucking gay. I cheesed the high halls gauntlet and have no shame whatsoever. Also cheesed the Bilewater boss because fuck that run too.
