jump is the go-to for making grabs whiff, but grappler toolkits are generally tuned to have something to beat that as well, so they can use SPD to condition you to jump and pull out their other option to counter it. At that range though he probably could've just backdashed.

In SF6 I only get mad when I play against Modern, even though I started keeping track and I have a way better winrare against Modern players than Classic on ranked(if it's casual I just insta quit out). I always leave after one match and block the person win or lose, I just don't want to run into them again. There's a few times I've run into actual cheaters and even that is not infuriating to play against in the same way that modern is. I don't hold it against the people who use Modern and I don't think it's overpowered, it's just a miserable experience

It does, though you can't break command grabs which is all Zangief did in that webm so in this case they aren't relevant.
The reason people get hit by endless throw loops is a strategic issue caused by a risk/reward imbalance, not because they mechanically can't break the throws. The punishment for attempting to break a throw when the enemy doesn't throw is worse than the punishment for not breaking a throw when they do so people lean towards not trying to break throws.

What a lot of people neglect to acknowledge is that SF6 has meaty throws which isn't a thing in a lot of other fighting games, many have select frames of throw invuln on wakeup, but due to wakeup parry being a thing in SF6, meaty throws exist. This limits the receiving player to high-risk options like a predictive throw tech or i-frame reversal which lead to way bigger damage than a throw if they guess wrong.

I got PTSD so competitive games stress me out too much to play against strangers. I remember one time I played against my friend all night in smash bros and he never beat me once. when we went to a regional he made it really far and I lost my first 2 matches. it sucks but I don't think competitive games are for me
