Quite frankly, BL4 is on the bad end of open worlds that I question why we couldn't just go back to the series traditional of large overworld with multiple dungeons connected to it. The story is pretty clearly a response from the backlash of not just 3 but also the new Tales from the Borderlands game, which is even worse.

The humor is....there, I haven't laughed once but I'm sure someone will find it amusing.

The talent trees for the characters are more unbalanced than previous games at launch. Don't play Rafa green tree, it's bad and probably the worst melee focused tree in a Borderlands game to date. Also the new UI is still pretty ass but we're 5 games in now and it might as well be a staple of the series.

I'm trying to get the maintain 3 attunements challenge with Vex but it doesn't work if I swap 3 weapons with different elements. Must I have skills that proc when using X elements for this to work?

How are the anti-aliasing options? Borderlands 3's options were terrible. It's either way too blurry or way too jaggy, no inbetween. They got it perfect with the Presequel (really smooth and clear even at 1080p) so I don't know what happened.

What is generally the recommended loadout? I'm using Snipers/Pistols right now, 1 kinetic and one elemental of each.

A good Jakobs anything is, as always, still probably the best you can get regardless of class. Order snipers are about the only one worth using, hardly any of the daedalus weapons have been good and Tediore went from the low/mid tier meme brand to the mid-grade brand where most of their weapons will usually be fine. If you ever get a Vladof AR with torgue impact shots, hold onto it. It's shooting zip rockets on steroids and it's amazing.

UVHM was hard because of the mandatory slag most builds needed because every enemy had 3x the health and would delete 80% of your health and shields in a single shot. There's hard, then there's just annoying. Radiation and Cryo are my go to elements for le quirky science gurrrrll, so I usually pack a pistol for one and a SMG for the other. My two other slots are more flexible, though I usually roll with a shotgun in one and an AR in the other, ideally a fire one, but I tend to just prioritize higher base damage for those. One of her augments for her skill gives bonus radiation damage based on how much her skill does, so I can still leverage her other tree stuff.

My current shotgun is Jakobs with a Ripper mag and an underbarrel spread grenade launcher that has been melting things, and my AR is a legendary Vladof with Torgue stickys that I'm pairing with an artifact that lets the stickys also deal 50% of the gun's damage when they hit. It's great for FFYL.

Anyone know if the Mimicron in one of the bunkers has anything decent in it's pool? I'm farming it up now but haven't seen a legendary drop yet.

I've had this same glitch happen. Used a Birts Bees legendary smg with underbarrel swarm rockets and a tracking Torgue shotgun to melt the overseer in one of the bunkers in about 2 seconds flat. Story has less of that cringe humor and more down to earth and serious. Characters you meet sometimes just die randomly in the story. Some dialogue is drawn out and boring and needs a skip button. There are some nice ass quest like psycho quest, GenIVIV, and some others that are nice. Some others are dogshit.

The talent trees are nice but when or if we get second augments then it would be really ridiculous builds.

Another note once you hit level 20 the weapons open up and the loot is randomized and crazy. Almost like BL1. Pick up a blue Vladof Sniper that shoots Torgue rockets with a triple barrel prefix helping Fire rate. Put on a Torgue class mod increasing slash by 100% and damage by 25% and melt everything lol.

Wait until performance is better.

He has a Lilith Firehawk mob clear build where he activates onslaught. Bonus movement speed. Extra fire damage to your gun. Which scales off his extra pyro damage skills. Not him, but that's like, the one thing that Borderlands doesn't do uniquely anymore. Plenty of FPS games now have looter god rolling. Borderlands is more unique for having open areas and quests in 4P co-op. Other games like Far Cry 5-6 kinda scratch that itch, but not in full, not in 4P, and is without the RPG mechanics (better for it too, since New Dawn sucked)

Why would they nerf in a single player game? Shotguns are OP even when it's not Jakobs. I watched a video of someone one shotting a boss with Amon and I understand how it works. I think shotguns are broken because each pellet is an instance of damage, so it supercharges your buffs. They would have remove shotguns from the game to stop that.

The best skills are the ones that amplify your damage. If you watch one shot builds on Youtube, they just stack damage infinitely until you one shot whatever you're fighting. You can guarantee crits by hitting weak points so anything that increases damage is better for killing stuff fast. All the +damage skills stack so you want all of them.
