Honestly the first fight was harder because his moves seemed less predictable. What I mean by that is he usually won't move in-between your max jump and getting hit by standing on the ground. You just have to play nice and easy. The adds suck but 1 level upgraded needle i believe destroys them in one shot with silk spear.

Just another reason to never listen to /v/ on anything

then yeah the boss is kinda ridiculous, with the ads putting you in almost unwinnable situations. Along with the ads taking 6 hits to kill while having fast, unpredictable movement.
Once I stopped being retarded and noticed where the needlesmith is, I beat it in one try.

Just use tools to destroy them before they can attack. They take only 3 hits. Pretty sure first fight has more annoying spawns than second.
And still that boss has only 2 ATTACKS. Jesus fucking christ. And the slams are SO easy to navigate and make him move where you want him to slam. This fight is a joke. Max 3 tries if you are decent player. It's that easy imo

Assuming you didn't know already, there is a faster way to do the runback where you don't have to engage any enemy. The very first nigger can be aboided by just sprint jumping onto the first platform.
Then you have to get to the chimneylike jump on the left. You can do it quite quickly once you know how.

I have a theory that I came up with when playing Dark Souls 3. After finishing every boss, I looked up the fight on Youtube and read the comments. I noticed countless "every boss was fair but this one took me literal days" comments on pretty much every video.
The theory is that many people have their own playstyle in these games and some bosses just counter them hard.

2 out of 3 possible spawns can fly too high and not get hit by the stomp. Even worse, the fat fly which can take the most hits can i-frame through the stomp in addition to dodging by flying too high.

Add to that the complete randomness of the spawns. If you get two fat bois at once, you're in for a not so great time.

SBF has glaring design issues and at the very least, the stomp should hit the adds no matter what, independent from flight high or i-frame bladestorms.

Clock Knight are relatively easy since all their attacks are telegraphed. Boomerang is really great here since it can multi-hit both pretty hard, especially when they come together in the middle.

Did anyone just jump up slightly when he does his horizontal sweep and hit up at him when he passes and then just silk spear his minions? This was not a hard fight at all. All of these strats I'm seeing online have people jumping over him and constantly dodging, I haven't seen anything about actually controlling the attack pattern. It took about a dozen tries and the lava version was like three or four go's.

Yes you need to go to the videos section of the channel and watch the reuploaded stream as a video, probably the first under the "past broadcasts" section. Good luck with that though. Twitch is terribly organized and is one of the reasons I can't stand that site.
