I watched that, and of course he got the whole Peach Creek expansion controversy totally wrong. The problem wasn't that it was an underwhelming update that was empty of content, the problem was worse than that. For the newfags, lockers scattered throughout Peach Creek were meant to act like treasure chests, rewarding players with cosmetics, gags, and Jawbreaker currency. But early adopters discovered that lockers could only be opened by purchasing Digital Combination Locks from the in-game shop. Worse, the most valuable loot (rare hats like Rolf’s Goat Helm and Kevin’s Bike Helmet) were locked behind a randomized combo mechanic, meaning players often had to buy dozens of locks to succeed. This brought in a bunch of newfags and brazilians spamming the chat constantly and the game has never recovered. The devs continue to listen to Reddit for balance changes anyway, so fuck this game, let it die already.
