I haven't beat DS2 but half way through connecting Australia it's even more of a mess gameplay wise than the first game, they removed any challenge and just added more resource grinding and weird half implemented ideas like the BT Pokemon shit. I loved the first game so maybe I'm just burnt out but not having a good time at all

Astro Bot won last year mostly as a fuck you to that chinese monkey game. Had nothing to do with giving a Sony game a win. It was just most convienent to allow Astro Bot to win and make it not look like they were cheating the monkey game out of a win since the rest of the contenders were either weak or remakes (RE4) which should certainly not be allowed to win unless they are exceptional and everything else is complete shit.

DK has no chance of winning. Either the French game is winning (most likely imo) or Silksong (wouldn't be surprised considering how much people are enjoying it). Kojimbo's game is too boring for most people and it isn't Metal Gear. So no chances there. Kirby isn't going to be chosen over DK and I can't possibly see a Metroid game winning it. We also don't know how its going to be anyways. Too much Nintendo here now that I think about it. Quite sad that the best pure game here is Silksong.
