The niggerman DLC's spin on it is not bad. It's a roguelite so if you die, the progress is reset, but you can recruit nemesis-system mercs and use them for the usual shenanigans, like sacrificing them to some orc boss to rank them up so they drop better loot.

From what I understand, it's only specific aspects of the Nemesis System that are patented, not the general idea behind it. I think the biggest thing holding people back from using it is that it's (presumably) an awful lot of effort for something that they don't need to do (because normalfags will buy it anyway).

Mordor was very very fun but War dragged on too long. I played like 80 hours and wasn't even close to finishing the story.

And the maps are also clearly more empty and feel abandoned because Eltariel has bad crowd control powers so she cannot deal with so many orcs at the same time but at the same time, Light is broken so every warchief is immune to Light skills. It's like the programmmers fuck it up the numbers so they had to counter balance somehow.

The Dark Eltariel skin indicates they had some kind of plan of Eltariel falling into the corruption of the ring during the DLC story but the idea was never implemented beyond the aspect.
