Is this guy right, /v/?
Is there no good reason to buy a console instead of a PC?
I have good memories with my Xbox 360 and One, but PC seems to be much better and I'm interested in more than just gaming. I want to watch movies, and maybe write and-- Who knows?-- maybe even code.
I'm very interested in retro gaming and old games, and indies, and mods and piracy, so I guess this is not a debate at all. PC really is the superior choice for me.
I get that keyboard and mouse is not exclusive to PC anymore, even if lack of gyro for Xbox is a big flaw.
Consoles don't have to be built, unlike PCs which are more complex but this is only a problem at first. I can learn to build it myself with a bit of time and effort.
Normally consoles are cheaper but the Xbox SeX got more expensive. I skipped the current gen, the gen that feels the best for Xbox, in the hope that with time the Series X would actually get cheaper. I love the aesthetics of the Series X as much as Game Pass and its hardware. But it really seems I am getting converted to PC gaming.
Is there a way for me to buy an old but functioning (maybe already built) PC to play old games, and then to update it as I go and I am more interested in newer titles?
I did buy a cheap PC from Amazon a few years ago and I did play on it but it did not run most games, and it even broke because I cannot run windows anymore with it, it gives me error and I don't know how to fix it. Still on Amazon I saw a gaming PC case at a good price, but I'm not sure it's a reliable product.
Where can I get PC parts at a cheap price, old parts are perfectly fine as long as they are functional.
