Well, I originally wanted to learn Nine but she just seems really shit. Everyone says she's at least a respectable high-mid tier if not high tier (not top tier) but I don't see it. She seems barely low-mid tier to me and I can't find anyone who performed well with her after the 2017 balance patch. At best I saw her being used as a pocket counter-pick. Her DP shouldn't be tied to her spell stocks and her oki and her unblockable setup seem way overrated.
I learnt Susanoo but I don't enjoy playing around his unlock gimmick and there are too many Susanoo players anyways so I decided to look for something else.
I considered Izayoi but I don't like how her cleavage and stomach are covered by fabric in her base design and there isn't a single colour that I like that removes those pieces of fabric.
I considered Kokonoe but I don't like the visual aesthetic of the way she fights. It's too jokey for my liking.
So it came down to Izanami and Mu and I decided on Izanami but I do wanna learn Mu as well.

You have people getting top 8 at offline events with characters like Terumi, Bullet and Kagura. If you think Nine is even remotely as bad as any of those characters, you shouldn't be talking about character strength and viability. Even just a cursory glance at tournament placings show that there are Nine players out there that can top, they just don't attend tournaments for whatever reason. That's a player problem not a character one.
