I just don't have the patience for the 30~ second forced animation + walk back.
Also the boss fight is no fun at all. You have to deal with an arena which fine, is piss easy, but also delays the fight, just to be greeted with the most BS I have yet to see. There is no safe area, she can attack above, the whole horizontal, and the diagonals, so its a 1/3 if you will get hit on most attack as most of her attacks use the same telegraph, and if you actually find an opening, there is a 50% chance that you won't deal damage because her just holding the weapons apparently negates damage.
Just fuck this.

I have absolutely no idea. I first try'd this bitch after blindly wandering into Shellwood as the poorest motherfucker alive. I bought the key to the Wormways as soon as I could, and so I couldn't afford a single bench on the way to accidentally wandering into her boss room. I had heard that she was hard, and while it wasn't a cakewalk it wasn't as bad as I had been led to believe.

I ended up beating a lot of bb bosses first try. Most one killed me was Paarl and Ludwig though I fought both of those super early and Paarl folds super hard if you fight him when intended since he collapses. I beat gas first try too but on NG+ he killed me cause phase 2 just one shot me lol.
Anyway I had the equivalent of your story with Sekiro as I beat Genichiro first try and my friend quit the game for 6 months before returning because of him. I was kinda surprised too because I was fully expecting to die as the mini-bosses I fought before this were FUCKING ANNOYING and he pulled out the lightning shit which I didn’t even reverse but I still won. I’d like to say I killed Isshin first try but I didn’t (5th try which is fair I guess)

Do you play many 2D action games like Megaman? It has definitely taken me more attempts to beat bosses in Hollow Knight games than Fromsoft games for instance, and I play a lot more 3D games than 2D ones.

There's some overlap for sure, but refighting Widow on my Steel Soul run feels like slowmo in comparison. For some reason I could immediately adjust to the speed of First Sinner, while bosses like Shakra were completely incomprehensible until I got some practice in.

it's the first "you have to fight hard bosses" game that i played in general (i'm a multiplayer type)

That visual discrepancy almost bothers me more than the nerf itself. The game teaches you that rapid slashes / spinny moves are 2 masks consistently.
