Kirk was a drone who repeated whatever line the right wing droned at any particular moment.
He was not a real person, he did not have real politics, he was not even a human.
Like anyone involved in burger politics he is a programmable loudspeaker that regurgitates and shits out boilerplate rhetoric of whatever team he's subscribed to. He's part of a big political apparatus, and got slaughtered like cattle by that apparatus because he was no longer useful.
You said it yourself, he says nothing special or extraordinary. There are many right wingers who are much more 'fascist' by leftists standards, yet someone randomly decided to assassinate him; it doesn't make any sense, but the timing of it makes perfect sense.
My expectations in burgeroids are already rock bottom, but I'm shocked at people treating a robotic drone like Kirk like he's some kind of real people's champion who pushes the envelope instead of some faggot who reads off a script and never deviates from it, nor ever has unconventional or controversial opinions, always toes the party line and sucks off the funny hat tribe who furnish him his platform and tell him what to say, when to say it and how to say it. But even with my rock bottom expectations in burgers, I'm shocked at how not only you talk about this guy, but how it's happening on fucking 4chan. Did you fags crawl here from Twitter or plebbit or what?
