It's never been so easy to build a keyboard yourself like today. And by build I don't mean swap caps. I mean build from the ground up. There is open source CAD software, there's open source PCB designing software, there's QMK/VIA, there are a ton of projects to steal parts from, there's PCBWay and other services, microcontrollers are dime a dozen, switches are plentiful, and soldering iron is like 5 bucks now.
I see zero reason for you to complain when you have been given all the tools to build your perfect keyboard.

There's a niche use case for them, which is gaming on a couch or something.
I sometimes plug my laptop in my TV, and when you need to alt-tab or something it's a bit annoying. A wireless mouse with a virtual keyboard works for most other things but that's not all that convenient either.

this piece of shit has lasted me almost 15 years without issue. Sure the keycaps are ABS but I actually prefer it to my newer fancy pants injection molded PBTs. It just works and is so goddamned heavy and solid I could probably use it as a support beam for my house.

yeah dude I know but this was way, way back and is an entirely different (and better) build quality than any of their newer shit (even when I got it back in like 2012). It has zero features other than some media keys and a couple usb 1.1 ports. No lighting. Just a steel backplate and some MX blacks. I prefer them for some reason. The wrist rest is hilariously large but actually very comfortable.

Again, it's also ps/2.

Yeah, audiophile stuff is pretty stupid. When I tried my first pair of real earbuds, I kept wasting money thinking I would be missing something crucial that would make music sounds amazing, and while some expensive options are indeed amazing, once you get into the a certain price bracket the difference is negligible to justify the price.

You can get some cheap IEMs like the Truthear Gate or their other "budgety" options like the ZERO, but you should never pay more than a 100~ bucks for a pair of headphones.

Not him but I love my split columnar stagger keyboard. I have 78 keys on mine, more than his so the key amount is variable. I used qwerty for a while after I switched but then I found the workman layout and I feel like that was more of an improvement for my wrists than switching from standard to split. QMK support means you can completely change the layout to your preferences.
