I already beat and enjoyed these games on my Wii, I really don't give a shit to play them again on Switch even if they were $20 each. It's been long enough since the Wii though that I'm sure a bunch of kids who watch the new movie will get to play these for the first time which is likely the intended audience for them. They can charge extra for them purely because it will tie-in with the movie that will carry the advertising for them to new unaware and careless buyers.

The Mario Galaxy fellation is so bizarre to me that it feels like a psyop. Galaxy 1 is honestly not that good of a game. Both 64 and Sunshine are MUCH better games and don't rely on waggle faggotry. I assume Galaxy 2 is the exact same shit, except with Yoshi. Is it people's first 3D Mario game or something? Nothing is memorable about the game, except it has some dogshit waterslide levels.

Sunshine is worse, but yes Galaxy is fellated hard because a lot of zoomers grew up with it who never played older games, 3D All Stars was full of teenagers playing 64 and Sunshine for the first time and proceeding to get butthurt at the praise they saw for them over the years when it didn't meet their own expectations.

It just is what it is, games have grown so much that we reached a point where there's large gaps in what people have even experienced in the same series and it creates very stupid discourse because of it.

Holy shit, me too. Finished it as Luigi a few months and the difficulty made it dull. It wasn’t bad by any means, just kinda boring. On the other hand, I played and 100% Sunshine and Crash 1 for the first time this year and really liked both, probably because some of the stuff in those games actually felt a bit difficult. The only thing in Galaxy that felt even remotely challenging to me was the “throw bombs at trash” hidden star.

I 100% everything in Galaxy 2 back when I played it so I haven’t been incentivized to return to it, but I’ll probably do a replay soon. Hoping I like it more than Galaxy 1.

I've never played Galaxy 2 so I'm looking forward to this. Pricing seems fine for a retail game.

If you didn't like Galaxy 1 there's a good chance Galaxy 2 won't do much for you. The level design takes a different approach that's throwing more diverse mechanics at you more consistently and pushes you to the next level faster to keep the pace going, while galaxy 1 stages tend to keep you on them longer, but the gameplay itself is still just more Mario Galaxy. It feels like a big expansion pack and likely would've been split up DLC in the modern age.
