It´ll be as bad as the last VTM game (swansong) was. It will be like a TCR game. You run around, listen to retarded woketards trying to hamfist their detached worldview into the world of vampires in modern life.

The vampire aspect will be totally sidelined, while focusing on important things like enforcing modern clichees, belittle whites, subverse expectations, empowering ugly femoids, normalizing trans-brainrot and portraying subhumans as people.

It won´t be anywhere close to the good VTM games like redemption or bloodlines.

The tag bloodlines 2 is only there for brand recognition. Some fools will be baited by it sure, most normies will do because their research will come down to: VtmB was a cult classic and not VtmB2 is relasing so it be a cult classic2, which it wont.

It tries to cash in on the nostalgia/memberberries grift.


A more fitting name would be Vampire Swansong 2 but we all know that it wouldn´t generate the same hype/interest around it.

I just put 80 hours into VtMB in 10 days. That's 8 hours per day, a full time job. Why? Because I like seeing how each clan and dialogue tree changes the mood of the game and the people I'm interacting with.

I'm cautiously optimistic.
Most of the things people are complaining about aren't super relevant to me. For example, people are pissed off you play as a set character rather than a specific one. But, how is that even much different than the first game? There was reactivity in certain spots, sure, but you're hardly going around doing major customizations. Your model is set based on your clan, and you always play as the same confused fledgling. There really isn't much customization outside of your clan and the specific routes you pursue to accomplish certain quests. In that regard, the new game sames on par.
I think people are comparing it to some hypothetical Bloodlines that was much more robust on the roleplay opportunities, but that's not really how the game actually was.

As many others have pointed out in many other threads, it most likely will be a slightly above average Vampire the Dishonored game. It APPEARS as though there aren't a lot of deep RPG elements, I'm assuming the dialogue choices will only result in minor differences while you're getting a mostly linear experience.
I personally will probably enjoy it because Dishonored is one of my favorite games, and I'm a big fan of WoD in general.

What I DON'T ever see in these threads are the self proclaimed VTMB fanboys (who probably don't know shit about the setting outside of the game, and have never played the tabletop) actually talking about what they DO want out of a sequel.
It's as if people were expecting this 20 year old game sequel to have a blood bar on the left, goofy looking prostitutes strutting around the street, and caricatures of stereotypes alongside dogshit combat, dogshit level design, and generally an overall mediocre gameplay experience that is elevated purely by it's immersive aesthetic.

The werewolf game had a shitty scenario that didn't grab the audience. There's no compulsion to continue with it because it felt generic as all fuck. The only thing interesting was the intro cutscene, which isn't indicative of the rest of the game. Paradox (and most video game companies) genuinely don't understand that "LOOK AT DEM GRAFIX" doesn't make a successful game based on a TTRPG. A successful game needs a solid hook, and the writing teams currently in employment don't have competent members who can create compelling hooks because they were almost all trained in the Bad Robot Mystery Box School of Writing.

Compare the "lethargic" opening of Mass Effect 1 to the slam-bam opening of ME2 to see why ME1 is preferred by grognards over ME2.

Earthblood sure was... something. It couldn't go all in on the furry as fuck hard gay metal aesthetic. It gets into the bizarre WtA cosmology but it's laced with all these current year expectations-subverted tropes where all the chicks are hard eyed killers and the guys are soft nurturing healers. The gameplay is just whatever. It's a wash. But everything else is fighting itself.

Also the ending is bugged to shit. At the last boss fight when I took off the last bit of the health bar, I suddenly shot through the ceiling into the skybox, then fell down to the top of the level, which is semi-modeled.
