Fromsoftware peaked at Sekiro.
They had other amazing games, but no other got as close to perfection as Sekiro. There is practically nothing I would remove from the game or add to it, because it feels like a complete experience the way it is. It doesn't even need a sequel.

It's good, but there's a bunch of shit in it. Headless fights suck with awkward as hell timing, bull fights suck, that forced stealth section in waterfall palace, VIT-heavy fights like ape or demon of hatred just drag on and on. Spirit emblem price increases are just inane and anti-fun. Also the alt outfits for the inner bossrush fights suck.

Fromslop is pretty lame.

>needing to "equip" combat arts instead of having all your moves available as soon as you unlocked them
>switching between prosthetics the same way you switch between items
>in general, prosthetics being very situational
>souls mechanics (respawning enemies on check points, death mechanics, being able to grind for items and levels) feel tacked on
Aside from that, agree.

Nah it’s fromsofts worst.

>shit lore and world nobody discusses sekiro lore like the souls series
>shit characters save for like 2
>zero replayability every run is exactly the same
>zero gameplay diversity every player has the play the same way to succeed there’s only 1 way to play
>dragon rot npc mechanic
>feudal Japan setting, the single most played out overused boring setting known to man

Sekiro is definitely the best of the Souls games.

Ironically, given your Wizard image, it has some weird things going on spiritually.
Odd things about the way it handles Buddhism.
With the Activision funding I suspect CIA involvement and a psyop subtext.

DS1 is still their best work after all these years.

yep, the more I think back on it the more I agree. Tight, simple, fun, cool and stylish, can't ask for much more

I agree it's their best game. It's a fantastic piece of art, unironically. The only "criticism" I'd have is that like all fromsoft games the gameplay is just about learning the enemy attacks by heart and reacting in time kind of like a rhythm game. There are many games that are "die and try" but it's especially flagrant in sekiro. But it's a very deliberate and well executed game design choice so it's more of a personal observation than an actual criticism.
