I actually have played BL4 a bit since it came out. Level 17, arrived at the 2nd zone.

I will give unbiased answers to any questions anyone has about it. First off

Yeah. It's dying down now because they managed to fix some issue with Frame Generation, so now with DLSS or FSR or whatever it runs """smoothly"" (generally 60-100fps).

However the performance is still ass and there are regular stutters without FSR. With FSR there are not many artifacts, main visual issue is on certain paths/roads there are some weird black lines on the ground. But yeah, performance is ass.

They obviously want this to feel fresh, so don't expect to see all your characters back straight away like normal. From what I've gathered

The villain is fine. I haven't seen him do or say anything particularly noteworthy to set him aside, but he's FAR better than what was on offer in 3. He's clearly supposed to be sinister and very competent, with the jokes and silliness/bumbling villain stuff offloaded to his main commanders-aka, the bosses you hunt down in each zone. Most of the characters I've come across are just fine, nobody has been an annoyance yet. Side quests have also been fun, they don't feel like bloat at all. There was one called "the Kairos job" that was quite engaging and unique with decent voice actors.

Also Marcus isn't the gun vendor anymore, it's Zane.
