This game’s single player is underrated as fuck
>some of the most cinematic and emotional moments in the trilogy
>some of the best set pieces in the whole trilogy (New York, Paris, Africa, a fucking massive plane that crashes near the end of the mission)
>good weapon sandbox, you have returning favorites and some cool new weapons
>ends with only like one loose end, and that’s if Price is dead or not (also Frost being still alive which would of been a good sequel)
Idk about you all but I think this is an actual 9/10 game single player wise, it’s everything you want out of a COD campaign. The multiplayer I didn’t play much of since I was exhausted from that shit after hundreds of hours in MW2, but the wave fighting game mode was decently fun.
I guess people downplay it because it wasn’t cod 4 or MW2 and also didn’t have stuff like the Pripyat mission (it had part of it though) or the Hans Zimmer soundtrack. Also a lot of the Infinity Ward OGs left after MW2 but if you consider that then this game turned out quite well. If this happened to a game in 2025, where like a good game was made but most of the OG crew left and couldn’t help with the sequel, the game would almost certainly turn out like shit.
