All the romances in this game are shallow and contrived.
I went with Ann all the way through since you know her the longest so it made the most sense to me and outside of the 3 or 4 special days her dialogue was no different for the other 98 hours of playtime. I get hiding it from the rest of the group but even in solo events its like it didn't even exist. Even in those dates there is no progression and was like starting over from scratch each time.

morgana is funny, a good support characters with plenty of dramatic and comedic interactions easily elevating most scenes he appears in, yes the whole "I'm le smart mementos expert trust me bro" thing vanishes as soon as they force makoto into the party with literally zero chemistry aside from her daddy issues but overall he's still a nice addition to the party and you are supposed to bond with him by the time his pre-okumura arc comes around but you never get the opportunity to do so because he gets a lot of screentime so you start to act like you hate him when you really don't
