playing Lords of the Fallen (2023). it's alright

Playing Silksong and might replay some old jrpg or something. Could be a rerun of FFV to finish off some achievements I missed. Silksong is great minus the lack of rewards in exploration so I'm trying to treat it like a Mario game where it's about the levels and boss fights rather than the traditional appeals of a metroidvania.

Just watched a playthrough of Killzone. 'Salright. Nothing special. Generic. Never played it back in the day, only played 2 and who the fuck has a PS2 anymore? I do remember 2 being amazing. Gonna play Killzone: Liberation next since it's next in the timeline. Some people like it but it looks like PSP sloppa to me. Still, fuck it, I'll give it a shot. It's free on PS+. Why 1,2&3 aren't on the store is a fucking mystery to me.

Been on a pirate binge, playing a lot of Black Flag, Blood and Gold Caribbean and just bought Corsairs Legacy after the demo won me over. Also playing Terraria with my younger brother when he can get online, I feel like I don't have enough free time but he's got 2 kids, I can barely catch him. At least it gave me time to farm Vamp Knives to make up for my lack of skill.

Speaking of PS store, they just added Legacy of Kain: Defiance. With that, all 5 LoK games are available to play. Problem is Blood Omen looks like a dog's ass gameplay wise but still, I would like to experience the series. I only played one of the Soul Reavers back in the day.

Modded it and have been playing mostly rail shooters like Resident Evil, House of the dead, Dead Space Extraction, etc.
I'm so bad at House of the dead, gotta grind power ups to make it far.
Very fun and I can see why it got so popular.

I've been playing a rail shooter called Child of Eden, it's fucking awesome but the real thing is that the clear rates for the levels on hard are less than 1%

I'm still rotating games all the time. Currently it's:
Dominions 6, against the AI because I suck and can't play a game on a schedule for months. Still fun.
Foxhole logistics stuff.
Remnant 2 whenever my duo is available. Definitely feels better than the first game.
Carrier Command 2. A bit simpler than I thought it would be. The workload in singleplayer is exhausting. One of the rare games that's actually much more enjoyable in multiplayer.
Half Sword to relax when all the above meatier games are just too much.

Passable.

It starts off really strong. You're in super soviet land, it's a cool aesthetic. It feels like you're about to do Bioshock meets Half-Life. Then they decide they want an open world. It all kind of goes down hill, into an ending that feels very rushed and weird. It has a nasty habit of info dumping. The protagonist is like Duke Nukem's annoying cousin with his constantly fucking quips and 'crispy critters.' It sort of invalidates most of its own systems too. You have an inventory, but if you pick up items that go beyond your inventory capacity, they automatically go to your storage.

It's like they had a good starting point, but ultimately invalidated all of their work on those systems, story, and world along the way.

It starts feeling like an 8/10, but ends as a 5/10. A very mid, forgettable experience.

Started playing Tekken 8 again, grinding through ranked.

I stayed home yesterday because a felt like shit and slept for 13 hours.
Then I played some tropical island card survival. Finally decided to mod it so you can see more of your resources at a time because the UI really feels like it was an afterthought for the devs.
I played like 6 hours of abiotic factor with the bros last night. Getting far into the labs and got the auto item depositor/sorter set up in the base, soooo much better. I'm the food bitch, so I made like 20 pots of soup, so I won't have to think about that for a while.

Replaying Kotor 2 for the billionth time.

I've always found it strange people think this game has a bad ending. The whole sequence of events starting from the Rebuilt Enclave all the way through to the Trayus Core is packed full of great moments and it manages to resolve all the major points of the game's story (i.e. all the fallout from the Exile's warcrimes) in a satisfying way. The combat/encounter design is weak but this was true for Kotor 1 too yet no one shit talks that game's ending. I honestly think people are just echoing what they hear other people say when they complain about this game's ending.

Just finished Resident Evil Revelations 1+2, RE5 as well, already played RE5 when it came out on PS3, but felt like giving it another go, kinda amazed how the game still looks damn good even to this day.
About to start RE6 which is something I really, really don't want to do but I'm already committed so whatever.
Sometime next month I will play Silent Hill 1-4, I might skip out on 4 since I already played but also because of how fucking spooky that game actually is.
Undecided if I will get Silent Hill f.

Ive been playing Final Fantasy 4. Its alright, but its just something to play, im not that into it. I feel like ive sunk enough hours into it where I have to beat it now. Next game I play will be something spooky maybe. Still trying to overcome these constant migraines, I need to see a doctor.

I will say this, I wish there was a remake or a modern FF game that actually copies Amano's artwork and artstyle. The pixel art is goofy meanwhile Amano's vision is unique and beautiful
