We don't know yet. At a glance from the trailers it seems to be a mishmash of versions.
We only saw Victoria Island. No hint of Orbis or beyond. Half the footage is in Sleepywood (which was considered endgame prior to 3rd job).
The Victoria Island resembles its really, really old appearance (v14).
There's Jump Down, but no Pirates.
The most likely outcome is it's a pre-Orbis version with many QoL changes. Whether they advance further after that is still anyone's guess.

Maple Worlds did very well, and one of its biggest worlds was an Old School like Maplestory World. It monetized making your equipment invisible, pets, megaphones, and so on. What you think doesn't reflect reality.

OSRS almost failed. It was only once they started updating and expanding the game that it was brought back from the brink. The base game simply didn't have enough content for people to stay longer than a few months, I don't even think it had GWD.

RMT really does suck, but if you luck out with drops you can cash in big time since they have more money than sense. I heard chinks will get something called Blue Snail which is an old school Maple server, but no clue when that'll drop if it does. I can say that they were a blight on Artale NA. You could see when a whale dipped into something. I remember 30% xbow attacks going from 5 mil a piece to 15 mil within a 24 hour period and never really going back down because of certain RMT chinks.

Even with those problems I still enjoyed playing with the people I met there.

When you start a character (no matter what class you want to play, even Archer and Thief) you just aim for tons of INT. Then you equip lots of INT items so you get a lot of MP when you level up.
Then when you're high level you use AP Reset from the Cash Shop to reduce your MP and INT to have normal stats + HP.
