Environmental storytelling

Jumping helps prevent falling damage much better than simply walking off a ledge.
You can see if you can stand on top of a platform or not by looking at the color of the ground, but some ledges can be "slippery" so be careful with that.
Don't spam lunges. They cost more stamina than simply climbing normally. Only use them when you're about to run out of stamina.
You don't need to commit to every climb. If you're not confident you can make it, go back down and see if you can find an easier path.
Save the good food for when you're really hungry. Try to keep yourself fed by eating the berries/coconuts/mushrooms you find as you climb. Some of those can be poisonous but poison is not the worst affliction since it heals on its own so they can do in a pinch. Just don't gorge yourself on poisonous mushrooms.
Cook your food at the campfire for extra energy. The same can be done with bandages, medkits and other consumables.
Don't be afraid to use your items. It's better to "waste" an item than to die because you were saving it for just the perfect moment.
Never abandon a friend in need.

Introducing P/v/Peak

Two teams of red and blue scouts compete on who gets to the camp with the most scouts.
Each scout will get a backpack.
Your main tool to deal with the other team will be blowguns which now have a much higher chance of spawning.
The camp acts as a safe zone. There you are not allowed to go back, help your team mates, hinder the other team or be messed with. So make sure that the enemy scouts are actually dead.
Additionally the Cozy Campfire mod prevents you from going hungry and the Healing Campfire Mod heals you. Also the Scout Master is disabled.
Entering the grass path after the Kiln to the Peak will also count as a safe zone, the same rules as for the camp apply.
The round will end once all scouts are at the camp or dead.
After that each scout that got to the camp will count as one point for their respective team.
The statue will not be touched, Scouts will instead be revived by lighting the campfire, via the Healing Campfire mod.
Before the next round begins all scouts, being healed will leave any items collected in the previous round behind, but get to keep one marshmallow from the camp, which you can cook on the campfire.
Once you've cooked your marshmallows. You are off to go and compete in the next biome.
At the end of the climb the team with the higher score will be declared the winner.
Flares are disabled, so don't worry about getting one.

I didn't participate in the climbing since I'm at work, but is there a way to change luggage to spawn bananas or poisonous mushrooms, or to increase the spawn rate of the latter given bananas are only in Tropics? Those could be two other ways to fuck with other teams. However, the mushrooms are direct interference, and wouldn't be that easy to feed to a rival.

The camp acts as a safe zone. There you are not allowed to go back, help your team mates, hinder the other team or be messed with. So make sure that the enemy scouts are actually dead.
Additionally the Cozy Campfire mod prevents you from going hungry and the Healing Campfire Mod heals you. Also the Scout Master is disabled. Enough Marshmallows should be provided to feed everyone fully.
The round will end once all scouts are at the camp or dead.
After that each scout that got to the camp will count as one point for their respective team.
The kiln will be a race to the top and flares are provided on the peak. No need to wait, you'll get points depending on how many scouts of your color escaped.
The statue will not be touched, Scouts will instead be revived by lighting the campfire, via the Healing Campfire mod. Curse is also disabled
Before the next round begins all scouts, being healed will leave any items collected in the previous biome behind.
Once you've cooked your marshmallows, we will do a countdown and when you hear "GO!" you are free to go to the next biome.
At the end of the climb the team with the highest score will be declared the winner.
