Of course. With Mile and Medium aptitudes there are a lot of G1s you can do, and hitting the 120k threshold after year 2 isn't hard even if you miss some of the triple crowns.

Nishino Power also has Pace Chaser Corners.
If you want to train Oguri try 4 Speed/2 Power or 3 Speed/2 Power/1 Wit borrowing Yaeno MLB SSR.
Use either Nishino or Helios as your second Power.
Inherit El's unique for your accel. Pace Chasers has no good accel in this CM except El and maybe Seiun if other frontrunners fuck up, So Pace Chasers mostly win by overtaking frontrunners in the mid-race, and what you need is speed skills that activate in mid-race.

Most skills that increase speed and accel is bad when inherited since they have lower value, and inherited uniques are reduced by flat -0.2. If that skill has consistent timing activation like El (so the accel matters more), that's a different story.
