It was a really weird collective lie/joke from VR influencers. The biggest sign that nothing was going to happen was that SadlyItsBradley wasn't part of anything or traveling to Seattle like everyone else. Although, I'm not sure if Valve would invite him to anything honestly. I mean, Valve could technically announce something considering there's a big VR sale on Steam right now, but I extremely doubt it.

Not sure when it happened, but I put on the headset the other day and noticed when you open your library in VR, it no longer defaults to showing your VR games. I'm curious about the quality of the lenses. I can't imagine playing a flat screen game in VR or MR or whatever the fuck for very long

Vr is dead. And whatever is left, the big two have gobbled up, already. There's the meta quest and there's the pimax, those two are the big two in the vr sphere that are left, all the other companies have long since left the market. Sony's vr goggles were pure luck and goodwill from sony to the gaymers, they're not gonna do a repeat for the ps6, i assure you.

Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.

What the fuck? Are you a delusional Pimax employee? There is one player in this space right now and it's Meta. Pimax has like a 0% market share. And deservedly so because their headsets are junk and they announce their new """fixed""" headset before their previous one is out.

I tried playing non-VR games inside a VR screen... It's not fun because of the image quality.

However, there was a game/mod that would allow me to play old NES/SNES/N64 games inside the headset, because of the lower quality of the games themselves, those were fun to play.

I'm all for them trying something new, even if it fails.
