Because it exists in the Borderlands universe and in the Borderlands universe, anything without guns is SHIT.
In all honesty, some of the crossbows feel way better than some of the normal guns.
The story is abysmal dogshit, but it has some great highlights here and there.
I'd say if you're on the fence, just bite the bullet.
Especially if it's on discount.

First person melee is always ass, and it's still very much Borderlands doing D&D/CRPG tropes rather than trying to be a fantasy game. It's got a whole load of issues but it's good for what it is.

I enjoyed on my PS4 version.

The melee is fun.
Having a dedicated melee weapon slot is vastly superior to innate melee bullshit.
Ice shield spell + 'zerker ice & melee buffs is SEX, except you can have it

some of the legendaries with unique projectiles just feel like giant slingshots but in a good way. it’s got solid build variety and my only real complaint is paladin transnigger. Will Arnet is a kino villain and I won’t change my mind.
