Yeah I know, I'm, talking about normies. If you haven't noticed then you must not have been on the internet much in the past week.
My youtube feed is inundated with videos from apolitical channels talking about Charlie's assassination and they all shared some common themes:
1. Barely any of them knew Charlie Kirk at all and only knew him from a few clips
2. Despite this, they feel a profound level of loss, as if they lost a dear friend or family member and they can't explain why but they get choked up talking about it
3. All of them watched numerous videos of his and came to the same conclusion: He was not spreading hate like the left said and, in-fact, he was genuinely trying to reach across the aisle to have a debate because those were gone from college campuses and he was there to bring that back
Some lines I heard:
"I didn't agree with a LOT of what he said but... I can respect him for what he did, and it's fucking crazy that someone thought he was "full of hate" and felt the need to murder him in front of his children like that, it's so fucked up man and all the people cheering for it? I had people I thought were friends that were genuinely excited that this man was murdered..."
"I feel like there's this evil that's been kind of rotting in the background and slowly spreading and I only just now noticed it and I feel very afraid for the first time in my life, this event has rattled me to my core"
"I am a tried and true atheist and yet, for the first time in over 20 years, I went to church this weekend. Not because I'm converting or anything but because it... it just felt right, you know? It just felt like the right thing to do"
I think we're going to see a profound culture change over the next 6-12 months. Like 2026 will be totally unrecognizable from 2025. That's my prediction at least
