If Leon's going to hallucinate, then let's make it full acid trip. He could be running through the forest and hearing Ashley scream "LEOOOON HELP" but he just mutters to himself "I gotta return to the station, I'm late to my first day" while he keeps running and the forest stretches into infinity.

He could enter the first cabin from RE4 and ask the fat ganado if he knows where the RPD is. The guy turns to him and it is actually Chief Irons who then starts screaming "IT DOESN'T MATTER, YOU'RE LATE, YOU'RE FIRED, EVERYONE IS DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU" and Leon breaks down and falls into hell where zombies of Marvin, Luis and President Benford drag him to its bowels.

Cut to Grace trying to wake him up but Leon is just drooling in his fever dream.

Death Island takes place in 2015, so Leon would be about 38 here. I find it unlikely they'll age him too much considering he's the franchise most popular character and Japs don't really like to age their characters much. Making Leon all brutish and hagard looking would surprise me. They have other characters for that.
