The state of vidya
Video games has not helped me become a better man, in any way, shape, or form. It has not taught me anything I could not learn more effectively through other endeavours.

I may regret wasting so much of my life on video games, but I don't blame myself. I blame the industry. I blame the shareholders, who have made dopamine squeezed slaves of so many of us, including me. What started off as a fun anti-establishment coffee break in the 70s has turned into the most debased, degenerate, shallow, yet legal heroin addict equivalent creating machine.

I despise these modern companies. I hate the CEOs, the developers, the marketers all alike. And you should too. If you actually buy the naive narrative that you have made some rational consumer decision in a free market economy to waste away on video games you need to seriously consider how these products are made, what the intent of their making is. It is not made for you, to benefit you, it is made to benefit them. And only them. They don't give a shit about right or wrong, as evidenced by the woke shit propaganda (being slowly replaced now by something else). They don't give a shit about bad or good gameplay; if they could make money from a game that required you to kill yourself they would. It's all about money now, and has been exclusively for at least the last two decades. And if you already know this, thinking it trite and obvious, you are little more than an addict in deep denial.

Anyway, silksong is ass and shills should an hero

That's what stopped you from becoming a better man. Dodging accountability is exactly what lead to you stagnating. Not the video games or any other external factor. It was you. It was the fact that you likely blame somebody else for all of your problems. Even when a problem is somebody else's fault, grow a set of fucking balls and do something about it or shut the fuck up and take it dry like a coward. Take accountability. YOU wasted your potential on video games. Acknowledging that is the first step in changing it. This is the gayest and most feminine post I think I've ever read on this website.

Nobody who became a world leader blamed themselves for not being one before they became it. They always blamed someone else and worked on themselves only as a necessary prerequisite to become able to enact thr change needed. You are a naive faggot.

I remember when I used to blame others for my faults. You will grow out of it and figure out how to deal with your addictions, or not. Even if things like video games, doomscrolling, and pornography were suppressed you will find something else to be addicted about. Coffee is addictive, sugar is addictive, alcohol is addictive. Everyone is addicted to something. It is Discipline that keeps us from being complete mindless animals. Have discipline in your life, do things that must be done, even if you don't want to. And practice things for your spiritual health, like creating something, playing an instrument, or reading a book.

Your interest in shifting responsibilty and accountability wholly onto the consumer betrays your nose.

I was an alcoholic for 10 years, yet I didn't blame the liquor stores. Liquor is an evil drug, and for all of the many external factors that lead to me drinking, my role in it was the most important of all and the only feasible change that could be made fell on me. You are the naive one here, you're presumably still young and I genuinely hope you find the strength to take accountability and make a positive change for yourself. Faggot.

Utterly retarded. People are clearly shit all the time and it has obvious consequences on the world around them.
