They're americans so obviously many of them are still lost in the "I like mecha but only when it's cool and serious, and only america can make that!"

And that basically means they've locked themselves in the mechwarrior cuckshed, never to return. They'll never accept anything else as good enough.

Personally I avoid the SRW DLC because I don't want to support a slippery slope: what if the next SRW has a very anemic cast because you're intended to buy the rest as DLC? Maybe it's already too late but I still don't want to.

Also, petty reasons:
- 30's had Sakura Wars, and I hate Sakura Wars. - Y's has Kamen Rider; I find Toku fans extremely obnoxious so I would rather not support them.

I've only loosely dabbled in it but it seems like a pretty cursed franchise. I dunno how you try to reboot and recharge your franchise this many times to dire results like these.
