UMPCs with 8'' display are awesome. I use mine for flights to watch movies and then take a break with some gaming. Mine even has a kickstand so it's ideal for that. Switch 2 is too locked down.

I get that dlss and all that looks like shit at lower resolutions but resolutions past 720p are a waste of time on handhelds. pixel density is what really matters

idk man I notice it just going scrolling through games on the menu. I’ve played on plenty on lcds with bad blur anyways but on a handheld where you’re stuck with the screen it’s a annoyance

Switch 2 doesn't have the sheer thickness of the Deck, but more importantly it doesn't blow its fan like a jet when running a game either. Deck was pretty uncomfortable due of that.
My step-brother now owns the Asus ROG for a while and I got the opportunity to check it was pretty silent when he was playing Diablo 4.

Valve is going to need to increase that screen from 7.4 inch to 7.9 inch, 1920x1200 resolution with a 120Hz screen. Zen 6 and UDNA should make it lighter, but would that end up making that bigger than this?

The psp really was ahead of its time. Even just Switch 2 performance in a psp go form factor as a modern handheld would actually be a slam dunk

I realized there was such a thing as a "too big" handheld when the 3DS came around. I primarily play my handhelds in bed laying on my back, so anything too heavy or large gets to be tiresome to hold. The GBA SP had a great size, and the PSP was pretty great too.

Deck 2 should fix most of those problems with Zen 6 and UDNA due to efficiency plus it'll be lighter despite being slightly bigger than the OLED. A lot of games the current Deck has trouble playing the Deck 2 won't have those problems at all.
>>721139512 >Why is this such a hard concept for devs to fucking get?
Because if you want the visual fidelity paired with the battery life then that's the compromise as you have to fit everything into that compact form. As it is the Switch 1 was getting ragged on for 720p in that day and age, and devs do not want to be pigeonholed into weaker systems anymore but instead port to everything so you need to keep rough parity with other systems.

vita still a bit too big, but it's fine as an "XL" option. switch lite looks like a child's toy especially with the pastel colors, and those low-quality sticks poking out ruin whatever shred of pocketability it might have otherwise had
