Speaking of PS1, does anyone remember this one game in which, if you suck so much you go entire laps backwards, you eventually start seeing random parked vehicles and trucks? Like, meant to simulate traffic, but they don't move.

If you are a newbie, I highly suggest dirt 4 as your starting point.
After you have mastered the basics, you can move on to Dirt rally and Dirt rally 2.0

Dirt rally 2 is the best mix of hardcore and slightly arcadey. WRC 2024 is basically Dirt rally 3 but not everyone likes it.
Keep in mind these games are not like some souped up Sega rally. It's basically real life it's probably the hardest game I've ever played. Also set the sensitivity up to 100 otherwise it's unplayable on a controller
