Not that anon but you don't need the game to give you lore tidbits about radiance. Her presence exists all throughout the game. You know there is a cause for the infection, you know the hollow knight is trying to hold it back, you just don't know what it looks like. The entire game builds up to the radiance fight starting the second you hit an infected enemy.
Grandmommy silk feels lesser than radiance even if there is more buildup because she gets thrown to the sidelins and the final boss tunrs out to be a mediocre fight against a shit character remixed with barely any new moves. Even if there was a void silk fight it would feel underwhelming comperatively because there is no alternate radiance (not counting godhome just the main game.). Silk is ruined the moment you face her and she is a million times easier than the repeat fight you just did against lace, she is probably the easiest boss in the game if not for moss mother.
I genuinely adore this game but "both" finales it has are insanely lackluster.
