Amon is pretty strong with the infinite heavy weapon build. Chaingun for fun, or a homing multi-missile launcher if you just want to stand there and kill everything as a weapons platform.
I found the key to having fun with melee amon is to go red tree for the talents, but take the axe skill from green (you can put enough points for an augment if you really want). Then you rapid melee with alternating elemental axes, which can be thrown in a pinch. Three charges and you are mostly using them to melee so it's available all the time.

I made a cannons build with rafa by accident whereby the whole game I was just spamming these cluster grenades non stop until they killed me (after 4 they eat health to spawn more) and instantly second wind throw another 1 get leech life steal throw another 3 second wind again and again until everything in the area was dead.

I played the entire game coop with a friend and he basically was killing 2 guys to my 12 kills. Didn't have to use my guns at all past level 27. Didn't have to look at anywhere but the sky to long throw grenades up.

Bosses died in seconds. Entire mission areas ended in seconds. I could pre throw the grenades before a boss even spawned in and not even get to see the bosses design before they died.

Honestly with just how dogshit the majority of PCs on steam are (at least from looking at steam hardware survey results) I feel like we're heading to a future where devs are just going to sandbag graphical options because some brazillian's head will explode if he is expected to turn the settings off of maximum on his RTX3060 "gaming" laptop because it'll become better for their bottom line than seeing their game review bombed because people running PC rigs with PS5 level components are getting upset that they're getting console level performance. I feel like people are just holding onto the frame of reference for DLSS visual quality from launch window Cyberpunk (which I get it, I refused to use DLSS on my old 3070 too because I hated the ghosting effects it caused despite the performance boost) but the tech is just at the point now where it's so unnoticeable that it's even getting packed into consoles. I would not have even noticed the Switch 2 running DLSS on everything if it wasn't for the ONE graphical error I would notice in DK and TotK where the UI for the hearts in the corner would ghost if I kept a sustained rotation of the camera left or right in those games.

In hindsight the Timekeeper being so passive as a villain made sense when they establish that he was becoming apathetic to trying to upkeep his "perfect" order and was starting to enjoy watching it all fall apart but that writing loses the opportunity to display a sense of escalation as you progress through the campaign. I'm glad he wasn't just another Handsome Jack, but twice now I feel that Gearbox has missed the mark of one of the key factors that made Jack a good villain, which was the escalation of his actions towards the player as you followed the campaign. There was a satisfaction in watching a villain who was so smug he was too busy shitposting in your radio coms to actually work on stopping you to becoming progressively more directly involved in trying to stop the players as you continue to chip away at his empire. I found the few more quiet moments with the Timekeeper fairly interesting, but feel like he just didn't have much time in the limelight when like 50% of the final act was spent on rescuing Lilith so she can set-up the narrative for the post-launch support. Maybe one day we can see that form of escalation with a main villain again, I wouldn't mind seeing another corpo antagonist with a more professional tone to them (kinda like Arquebus from AC6) that gets more desperate as the Vault Hunters piss in their coffee. (Dahl has a surprisingly amount of presence in the game for a corp with no guns or parts reflected in the game, maybe it's set-up for a Dahl focused DLC in the future?)

Jakob guns are in the game, but the only NPCs from previous entries that are present in the story are Zane, Amara, Lilith, Moxxie, and Claptrap. Moze and I'm pretty sure FL4K are referenced in dialogue so in context they're likely on the planet but the characters listed are the only older characters you see in-game. Other characters are probably being saved for DLC
