Don't get me wrong I do prefer King K. Rool but I did feel kind of bad when he immediately got sidelined when Rool appeared

Wasn’t just that she could sing good, but that her singing had magical powers. Bananza, waking up K. Rool, being able to break the void co seals, all tied to her singing abilities only she possessed
Will say, bit weird how there was the whole thing with void saying she had powers even she didn’t know and said powers amounted to being shit we already knew of. You think it’s gonna be this big reveal there’s more to it but it amounts to just being a reveal that her singing is a superpower, something you’d be able to infer from the beginning given the shit she pulls with it

Caved and got the DLC myself, I like how much of a bastard he is, but at least he does tend to be a man of his word when hiring DK and al, you do get a decent amount of chips as payout as well as more outfit stuffl. Getting to high-five him is nice, also like the small lab he has in the isle. He's a fun villain in his own right, but definitely upstaged by K Rool coming back. Void Co as a whole are pretty fun villains, pretty glad they got the "whahappun to him after the game" out of the way quick at least, really hope he'll be reoccurring.

do you think he was always an inventor kinda guy and the banandium giving him funds just enabled him, or is there some eldritch banana magic at play in that regard?

How d'you picture that working? An expansion of Emerald Rush into a full game, or something more like Wario Land? Could draw some similarities to Mario VS DK starting out with DK94 to a degree and make it play like Wario Land 1 specifically

In case you don't know, the DLC gives him a superboss fight though you have to play a lot of Emerald Rush to unlock it.

How hard is it compared to his 2nd fight in the base game? I'm guessing it takes place in DK Island, does the location affect much in the fight? Mainly asking since he did move around a bunch at Hilltop so I'm curious if it's something like that, or closer to the forbidden layer being more linear with how he moves around.

I don't like the new OCs that Nintendo has been introducing to their franchises. They don't feel organic at all but like fan characters, if you ever watched the new seasons of Spongebob you'd know what I mean by that.

The problem with post season 3 spongebob designs isn't their attempts to introduce more characters based on unused sea creatures, it's that they make them overly detailed and add unappealing design aspects like hair.

The new DK character's lack Rareware's simplicity but I wouldn't say they clash that much.

I haven't watched spongebob since the movie you zoomer. But it's pretty clear Nintendo are trying to unify Mario & Donkey Kong so ofcourse the NPCs are going to look different from DKC.

I disagree personally, he has a fairly unique design, pretty distinct style from K Rool with all the rock-built goons, purple motif, and plastering his face all over the place. He's also enough of a bastard that punching his teeth in is very satisfying, he's got a good face for punching. He'll likely be more fondly remembered over time if they keep up with him being a reoccurring character instead of dropping him entirely post-Bananza. I can definitely see him matching K Rool if they do make an effort to keep him relevant.

I like how he's basically a canonized version of Bluster Kong as of the DLC.
