World geometry appears to be broken for me, with floors and walls extending where they shouldn't, and objects have tendency to disappear altogether, so not so very playable.

The homing attack in 3d sonic atleast made sense because hitting small springs or enemies was difficult with the new 3rd axis to move around in
In 2d sonic it just removes the actual gameplay
