a lot of people liked it because it was "hard" I disliked it because it went the fusion route rather than sticking to the Super Metroid and Prime style metroidvanias.
Tons of points of no return/one way doors to force you into a railroaded section to the next EMMI zone (the forced stealth sections) or boss fight
If you failed the boss fight and normally in a metroidvania you think well I'll explore some more maybe I can get another health tank or suit upgrade that helps.. nope, you've been railroaded to where the only place you can go is to that boss fight, so you will just have to keep repeating it until you git gud. Some people like that but it feels less metroidvania to me, more souls like.
But they did that railroading "so that players wouldn't get lost"
which is.. kind of a hallmark of the genre, getting lost and exploring.
