I want a video game that makes us fight decks with anime only effects, like having a challenge fight where you have to fight Atem running the three god cards, engines to turbo them out, but when he plays they have all the bullshit (Well all bullshit that you can get away with anyways) anime card effects instead of the their shitty tcg versions. Funniest thing is that, at this point, a YGO game wouldn't even necessarily have to be a game about cards. Mechanical mismanagement of the TCG aside, Konami have done a splendid job creating value for YGO as a brand with the monsters on the cards themselves. So Konami could easily make games within any genre of video games using YGO archetypes as a jumping-off point.

There was another Capsule Monster game on the Game Boy, you also had Dungeon Dice Monsters on the GBA. Between the release of those two games half of the YGO games where based on another game (capsule monsters and dungeon dice monsters) and the other half where based on the card game (but not the OCG). These where still games based on the manga first, which is why the ruleset for the card game varies between all of the games.

As for non-TCG sims but actual video games instead, your best bet is probably modern indie deckbuilding "roguelikes". There's also the GBC game of pokemon TCG which is pretty good but a bit easy and a sequel that has a translation now.

I'd pre-order/day1 buy a PC re-release of Capsule Monster Coliseum and Duelists of the Roses. They were my favourite YGO games as a kid, and I still occasionally break out my PS2 to play them.
Tag Force would be a nice extra, but I'd prefer it to be part a collection with all of the TF games.

If you already have like the Nadir stuff or something else that synergizes with it, then Regenesis is a nice change of pace from typical decks. Just toss your bosses out onto the field and end your turn.
PUNK is also a lot of fun and plenty capable with a lot of build variety.

Speaking of Regenesis, I'm surprised that more people don't run it as a small sloppa package. Everyone focuses on more pure builds that have lots of main deck 2500's so that you can use Archfiend, but you can just run like, 1 Warrior, 1 Dragon, 3 Code in a deck that will end on 2500 ED monsters, and activate Code at the end of your turn. And if you draw the bricks then you can just summon them from hand assuming you were able to start your normal combo.
Not saying it's a fantastic idea, I'm just surprised more don't do it in the same way people will run Fenrir in random decks.

Also has anyone tried Voiceless Regenesis? They both have grind focused gameplans, and both Skull Guardian+Safira are 2500's.

As long as it doesn't use the normal summon. I have the deck built for Genesys IRL and I just use x3 Dodododo Warrior + Onomatokage to make Arion since it costs no points compared to using x3 Terrortop + M-X Saber Invoker, which is 42 points.

Edopro is pretty good for that. It's an automated unofficial simulator. There's LAN and online options for it (just create a password protected room if you're playing with a friend online), and no third-party service linking or account creation required for it.
Yugioh Omega is a more polished EdoPro featuring a ladder system, but it does require you to join a discord server and connect your discord account to the Yugioh Omega application.
Duelingbook is a manual play alternative. It's online only and you just create a password protected lobby if you want to play with a friend.

Today I spent several duels in Solo trying to learn the Mitsu Orcust combos but I kept fumbling somewhere, and I swear I watched a video where the Orcust combo starts with Girsu and climbs to a 2-mat Apollousa before getting DARK locked, but maybe I'm confusing it with a decklist that was also packing Fiendsmith.

On the other hand, I just said fuck it, jumped to Ranked and I believe I now have a proper understanding of the deck, I beat a Branded player who summoned tax dragon on my turn and I had enough LP to climb to Lil' Girsu and steal it for lethal. To add, Mitsu combos are very straightforward, but I've seen some people also carrying Mitama.

I'm just learning both decks, it's also the first time I play Orcust, so I'm going by memory with what I've learned so far and from what I've been watching:

The only purpose of Fiendsmith, as far as I've been seeing, is give you a Link-2 and two materials for whatever you need, ideally Apollousa, but Fiendsmith's Lacrima and Engraver can serve the exact purpose of linking into Phoenix to start the Orcust combo. I think my problem here is that I'm really fed up with combo, I can still tolerate Mitsurugi because it's a new archetype, but having to add a combo above another combo above another combo from archetypes completely unrelated and it just gets tiring.

I've been playing a bit of fiendsmith orcust on the ladder in Diamond because I haven't gotten around to learning the Mitsurugi cards yet and honestly, it is very easy to combine the two engines. Girsu on his own sets up harp horror for later and gives you a 2nd body (while also blocking imperm) to go into Moon via Galatea-I and then you just go full fiendsmith combo and end on either Desirae or Caesar with Sequence still up.

Once you're done with the fiendsmith plays, then you can lock yourself by banishing harp horror and then go full Orcust combo from there. If they negate Girsu and/or Galatea-I's search then you can bridge into mermaid by using sequence with Galatea-I to go into mermaid via Phoenix and go full Orcust combo.

The only annoying thing I've found so far is that you have to do the fiendsmith plays first to play around the dark lock. Both engines playing through droll is fantastic though.

Yeah, that's my only concern, but I guess it's easily circumvented by pretty much leaving the Orcust plays until the very end. Playing Mitsurugi or Fiendsmith still leaves you with a healthy amount of Orcust, but playing both forces you into reducing the number of Orcust monsters, including Link-2 Galatea, to make space, and by that point, are you really playing Orcust?

On the other hand, I should look more into actual pure Orcust decks. There's a new decklist in MDM that uses Engage, Hornet and Kagari to use as Knightmare Phoenix materials, but I'm missing two copies of Engage and and I really, REALLY hate Sky Strikers.

I used the NAWCQ winning Fiendsmith Orcust list as a baseline and then modified it to make the deck more in line with MD. That build ran a small bystial package which is really nice to get to more bodies if multiple of your starting plays get handtrapped. Lancea does make you even sadder though.

SS slop at this point just makes me think of Tenpai every time. I would also think that it'll be significantly weaker against the hand loop decks that still exist in MD (mainly mermail and Ouroborus/Heraldic Ryzeal). Getting an Engraver or any of the fiendsmith cards sent to grave is much better for you than them hitting your SS spells. I know from when I used to play Mermail into SS Tenpai, it was basically a free win for me every time.

I can't imagine SS is great going into Droll either, since engage will be dead. Which will make you weaker into Maxx C and Fuwalos.

Pure Centurion's standard combo is very straightforward and can be done in 4 summons ending on Phalanx+setup to summon Blazar on the opponent's turn+a shit ton of followup. There are combos that can go harder than that like for double Blazar setups or doing the same setup but also getting a draw but it's often correct to just keep it simple.

Don't know about that, I really don't like what Fiendsmith and Mitsurugi mean for the game in general so I have not looked into them in the slightest, and I do not intend to do so.
I simply replaced Bagooska for I:P and the deck's as good as new. She can make another Zebufera during your opponent's turn and you'll be able to copy another trap because she's not HOPT, or you can make Duralume to wipe. It's fun.

That said, you must keep in mind it's not a particularly strong deck. It has no one card combos and many people choose to play it with g*neric engines to do the heavy lifting.
It's super cheap in MD, only 3 URs for the chubster and maybe one more for the chubster supreme (Link-2) if you're choosing to run her. You could give it a try and it wouldn't be too big a hit to your dust pools. I myself love the deck because how fun it can be. It does pends right.

It's a shame there isn't a lot of "art" of these two, doing exactly this. There isn't a lot of selettrice either, but i like the self-cleaning onaholes a lot more.

Nothing in that deck is consistent.
Assuming you opened with at least two cards to work with (any combination of field, Selettrice, either scale, Scelta, and maybe Invitare) and no interruptions, you can very easily set up 3-1 in your scales and end in Zebufera + trap of choice + whatever else. Then in your opponent's turn by using the trap and Zebufera you end in 5-3.
I play jank stuff like Ghost Sister and Spell Absorption to quickly gain counters but I can't say I recommend it unless you want to have a laugh.

This one paragraph caused a lot of seethe once the loony troons became a lot more vocal. They genocided the page in both the wikia and yugipedia, then they contacted the admins and wanted to compromise on it; they would allow it, but in exchange the admins would let them add a page of "trans or trans-coded" yugioh cards. They got told to fuck off because they didn't even know who the fuck these trannies were or where they came from, then permanently deleted AND blocked the page from being created so they couldn't vandalize it again. It was a total shitshow. IIRC they also took to r_ddit to complain about not being allowed to walk all over the admins, but even they laughed at them.

Forbidden memories is the only one that i replay every once in a while. Duelists of the roses and the sacred cards aren't bad, but they just don't feel as "unique", despite the former being a direct sequel to FM.

By the way, 15+ years of playing the same file and i STILL haven't gotten a metalzoa from the not-paradox brothers. I genuinely think it's impossible for it to drop, you'd think that after 3k or so duels (the counter only goes up to 999) against both i would have gotten a single copy, but no. I have every other "good" card in the game except for that one, but i'm not autistic enough to manipulate the RNG into dropping it.
