I can only view anecdotal evidence but I played this morning and it had 22k reviews on PSN. When I checked around 1pm it 25k. So people are still tuning in and playing it. If the numbers are legit seems like a solid launch week.

It's not irrelevant. Some other thread today posted today states that roughly 80% of gamers only buy 1 to 2 games per year. The data in OP follows that trend and shows that a good chunk of Yotei buyers are returning customers from Tsushima while mostly ignoring other popular titles. If this data is accurate then it nearly perfectly reflects what the other study was saying about consumer habits.
