We literally see that Marika, a god, has a separate person, Godfrey, as her Elden Lord. Ranni, who becomes a god to wield the Elden Ring, has a separate person, the Tarnished, as her Lord of Night. Miquella, a god, has his clusterfuck of part of Radahn's soul in Mohg's transmutated body as his lord. The god and lord are different beings. It's only the case of Marika and Radagon where there's overlap, and that's only because Marika created Radagon from herself, a la Miquella and St. Trina.
Godwyn isn't protecting Fia, that's Fia casting a spell and trying to deceive you just like she tricked you earlier. The attacks stop if Fia is killed, and there's certainly no remnant of Godwyn's spirit interacting with Fortissax.
The Elden Ring is mended in Ranni's ending, she claims the thing from Marika and Marika dissolves away. Ranni begins her own order, which she earlier talked about in the Miniature Ranni conversation at the Site of Grace atop Ranni's Rise. The Elden Ring and godhood are needed to bring about an age, and if Ranni just destroyed the Elden Ring she'd be fucking over the world even harder than she already does by not fixing any of the major problems she caused and leaving the world wide open for the Formless Mother, Scarlet Rot outer god, and Frenzied Flame.
Godwyn's Wetnurse doesn't serve Ranni's Two Fingers, the various Two Fingers had different Finger Readers who served them. the Finger Readers for Ranni's Two Fingers are probably the Finger Readers we can find in Liurnia, not all the way over in Deeproot. The Nox don't do soul transfers into puppets, you only quoted a description about how two Nox chose to afflict themselves with Starlight Shards potions and became enslaved. They're still in their own bodies. Seluvis wants to use this mind control on Ranni, nothing else.
