Just got to credits myself, is this a fakeout ending? All the talk about golden age, world without gods, keikaku, inevitability and all that. I thought it was leading to Tolkien's dimming of the magic or some horrid stasis world, not Zag using talk no jutsu on pic related. M didn't even get to fuck up in her single-minded pursuit.
Also, crossroads feels kinda lifeless. Maybe I got through the game at greater pace than 1, but there is a whole lot of standing around aside from others and talking about nothing in particular. Moros in particular just kinda there. Strife doesn't seem to ever clash with anyone, Odysseus never consults or orders anyone.

Same. Doing runs has been fun, but Ive been skim-reading/skipping most of the dialogue. The story is quite boring/not as compelling as the first.

Fun game but too much grind related to crafting component. Still missing tons of seeds, some incantations have egregious requirements compared to the rest of the game, and it feels for me the kind of artificial padding you find in roguelites.
I've already reached the ending too, I feel like at this point I should be allowed to buy what I need from the merchant. I need so much garbage from Chaos too, but it just doesn't appear, so frustrating.

That, and the fact that they brought back the shitty fade to black end of runs after reaching the ending, seriously? This is so retarded, I thought I would somehow unlock stuff after doing all rival bosses, but no. And reaching the epilogue doesn't change that too, fuck your monologue Homer.

I've flushed the game, it's fun but these kind of things just annoy me too much. I might come back if I could cheat the last items because fuck that shit.

None of the areas felt as mad as the warrens in 1. Elysium warriors seemed more particular about how you approach them than anything in 2, dunno if that's just my experience showing.

Are any of the clones particularly interesting? I've tried a demo for some chink one with with an ink theme, thought "aliexpress Hades", and never bothered with others.

you need to finish the game for them, it's hades, zagreus and chronos respectively. you get the zag keepsake from fighting him, and the other 2 by gifting shit to them as usual, for chronos it's right after hecate.

I burnt out close to the end, I really just wanted to unlock all the aspects but nobody is ever offering me the one for the daggers despite hitting the requirements like 20 hours ago and I did like a dozen surface runs without finding any bronze to get the moros aspect for the torches, the resource bloat is just fucking obnoxious.

for the hidden aspects you need to have all the the extra aspects unlocked and to have one of them lvl 5. if you meet the requirements the dialogue pops up immediately in my experience.

Yeah I've had the Pan aspect of the daggers maxed and the Artemis one unlocked and Artemis hasn't said shit to me when she deigns to even show up. None of the other four I've got stonewalled me nearly as bad.

I like what Hades 2 brings to the table for the most part but 1 was so giddily balls to the wall and 2 feels needlessly grounded, like they felt balance was must have. In 1 you could go full Poseidon and have enemies in claustrophobic halls ping-ponging around, dropping poison that you could cure. Area 2 had bombs, area 3 had reviving souls. For twice the area Hades 2 doesn't really have all that interesting an array of enemies or zone mechanics, short of the first area on Olympus path being a nice build start and the third area having some mobs vs mobs. The craziest your build will get is just damage, really. Any god at their best, any perfect hammers, and your build is just gonna look like a lot of hurt.

I do wish all the hammers were mechanical upgrades instead of split with straight stat boosts. The ones that change how the weapon works are much more fun.
