I'm going to fuck a goddamn AI fembot and turn the Asian corpse I'm currently riding shotgun into an ascended demi god. Then I'm going to revive her retarded ass and build a better VR sim, which I will put her into with her current brain intact to get across the idea that meta narrative contrivances are dog shit.

Because it's duping your fucking brain. Effectively birthing a new organism. The coin toss is literal cope and misunderstanding the logic of what is happening by retards. The better question is why can't they just transfer your mind without duping it. How are they able to stop and play a brain when that isn't how "brains" work. And, what would actually happen with two simultaneous duplication of a the same "brain" running at once. Given that the the brain is supposedly running of some as yet unknown quantum process, it's very possible this could cause some extremely interesting fuck up to occur between the two simultaneous experiences. This is of course never explored because the developers are faggot promoting materialist atheistic propaganda.

What happens when you copy a file from a USB drive to your computer? Does the file on the USB disappear? Is one somehow superior to the other? No, you just have two copies that function exactly the same.

Catherine didn't correct Simon because he had like 6 hours of battery life and mobility and she didn't want to dissuade him from completing the mission. She doesn't tell Simon he's right about the coin toss analogy, but she doesn't really offer a more exact explanation because he might realize he's not getting out of there but his copy will.

The file actually has a 50/50 chance of having its consciousness transferred to your computer and therefore being the superior version

When your wife has a baby, do you think there's a 50/50 chance you're about to be born again?
>implying you'll ever have sex
