While I like the game as a whole quite a bit, I do feel like it has failings compared to From's offerings. For me, the most important failing is secret areas and bosses. As far as I know there basically aren't any other than a few hallways and locked rooms here and there. I also still don't like how oddly precise its parrying is. I was able to finish the thing on NG+2 after the DLC came out, but I still never really got the timing down. Lots of fun overall. A bit toooooo linear though. I have full faith that whatever they do next will fix that though as it's a pretty common complaint.

Lies of P does it better. Fromsoft is just stuck in the same ways as before with the same engine and format of doing games that are far outdated from the norm. Lies of P broke those limitations and did a better way of using their gameplay to their strengths and keeping up with the industry standard while at it. Maybe it's because I played the whole game with the big wrench while block maxxing. But the game is dull as hell.
The environments aren't terribly interesting to explore. And blocking beat all the bosses.

Some of the other weapons seemed really interesting. But they also seemed inferior.
Maybe I would have actually had fun if I had played it like Sekiro, but doing so felt like kneecapping myself.
