What happened? is the last story chapter of rinascitta bad? recently people have been shitting on Wuwa a lot, they've been messing up with the events and gameplay modes but I really liked Phrolova and Iuno's stories

The experimentation being a sudden change to FMV cutscenes with dialogue options that are hard to read, and you have 3 seconds to choose before you just get ignored, or you default to 1st option? Hard to say with the MC being a selective silent protagonist.

Just look at 2.6. They split the main story into 2 halfs. The first part releases with the first banner, and the second half with the second. And what is the first part about? The first banner character. And the second part? Well suddenly the character from the first banner is gone and it's all about the second banner character. Because the main story is just character story quests loosely tied together.
No other gacha twists its story to get this level of banner shilling.

It's not an "experimentation". It's limitation of mobile devices because these low powered machines can't render several characters and locations at once (Septimont and Averardo Bank with tons of high-resolution models), so Kuro turned them into FMVs instead (like the FMVs you see in 360/PS3 games like MGR). And that's also the reason why the dialogue options are on a timer. A PC can render the scene, but too taxing for mobile devices. It would've been better if the FMVs ran at 60 FPS.

I used everything as new player except my credit card and failed to get Carlotta (100~ pulls/fail pity) last month who I really wanted. All I pulled were male/loli unit which I didn't find fun and therefore I won't use. Since the early game and to where I am now (40ish union level), I've been using Rover, Sanhua, and Baizhi. Is this normal? I got more and more tried of these 3 but no other characters are fun so I kinda naturally just stopped opening the game after Carlotta's banner ended. I was hoping to come back Anniversary because I assume they usually give a bunch of free stuff but it seems that was in late April. I'd like to come back soon because it's fun but I just can't with my units.. Is there another big event where they shower the players with free stuff outside of ani? What do?

It's fucked up what it does to your brain, constantly in the back of my mind, no matter what I was doing, I was always thinking about doing my dailies. I was just doing dailies, collecting resources, saving for rolls, it was all busy work to not even play the game. I stopped playing zzz a couple of months ago and started playing real vydia and finishing a normal vydia feels like such a healthy feeling compared to what gacha was doing to my brain

Wuwa isn't very stat dependent tho. You can clear 99% of the content with a party of any level and equipment. Only some timegated trials necessitate actually investing in the team members, but those are pretty boring anyway
