Mines genuinely very out there though. It would be called Final Fantasy 0 and would be a prequel to all Final Fantasy games. It would be marketed as "Final Fantasy 0" but on release it will be named: "Initial Reality".
Game will be filled with the most taboo shit ever, everything bad that happens IRL happens in the game: rape, genocide, torture/mutilation, child murder, child rape, etc etc.
The protag and his party is fed up with this and makes a biblical journey of sorts to conjure God thru multiple rituals, as they live in a godless world (like ours). In his journey of conjuring God he finds out God (probably named Alexander) did exist but was already murdered by the Devil (aptly named Chaos) during Creation, hence the existence of all the world's suffering.
Before God's death, in his endless omniscience, he managed to dream of infinite different "realities" for the world. His "Final Fantasies" before his death, if you will. Those Final Fantasies consist of alternate realities from all the mainline FF games we've played so far. Protag and his party realize that the rituals they performed so far were actually rituals to fuse those alternate "Final Fantasy" realities into the current shitty reality, so that they can escape their "Initial Reality".
The game ends when the ritual is complete, and the dark and gritty Initial Reality the protag lives in is channeled into becoming the Final Fantasies that God has envisioned for Mankind.
