Hopefully they ditch SteamVR completely and just lean on Monado/WiVRN.
Valve can't keep their software functional when it's just one guy's hobby project like Linux SteamVR, and the whole walled garden, every man for himself bullshit of the early VR days should just fucking end.

Yooooo real time 2d to 3d ai desktop conversions just dropped and it actually works pretty damn good. Needs 3000 series gpu or better. Link is in the owl3d discord. The alpha is free but it will be paywalled on full release. Get it while its hot.im actually blown away by it cause everyone I've tried before sucked balls.

What about the state of VR software though? Is it still just mediocre games and porn?

Also the forefront open beta is live for like 2 weeks. Steam version (labeled as demo) runs smoother than standalone.

Not 100% there for face paced games, a small consistent stutter in framerate on a 3080 and a bit of latency but for non gaming this hits hard.
