why are wow private servers particularly popular with people from the EU or overseas in general? They don't seem as popular in NA.

It has litera level scaling and transmog. Optional I know but the very idea is anti-classic. Also the random buffs and the speed of leveling is all wrong. I really wish they made it more Classic like

I can't believe Epoch actually died. They were supposed to be our savior but the devs just gave up at the slightest hint of struggle

You can turn off transmog and all the level scaling does in the open world is stop things from going gray. You still need to reach the recommended level to go to a zone you can't just go to the Western Plaguelands at level 10 or something.
And I'm not trying to spend 2 months leveling 1-60 on a true classic server, personally. Even so I'm going slow and steady and I'm only level 27 playing casually since launch. I'm playing a Priest and it's got that classic bullshit where if I pull more than one mob at a time I'm dead and it takes me a decent amount of time to kill a single mob and I have to drink a lot.

Americans can't have private servers because your laws are disgusting. They get shut down almost immidiately. In EU servers I constantly see Americans playing with ping in the 300s.

There's a lot of retail-like features and some weird choices but you may be right and it's potentially fun later on

I just really want a comfy Classic+ that isn't on a buggy outdated client like Turtle
