i actually bothered to watch your video and while i think your assessment of more objective elements of the game's design (graphics, music, gameplay, etc.) are well-argued, you're way too fucking cynical about the bigger picture. roa2 has plenty of flaws, but the live service model is honestly not one of them. you don't have to engage with the microtransactions, especially because the game throws premium currency at you for playing each month. they serve and important function of funding continued development of a game which would otherwise have a prohibitively higher price tag. it feels completely disingenuous to hover over the microtransaction bundles while not noting the game is $30, every future character is free, and it's thanks to MTX. or, for that matter, that the majority of cosmetics can be purchased for free, if you even want to engage with them at all. i'm typically opposed to live service games, but i understand the developer's reasoning that
>we ended up updating RoA1 so much that we decided a live service model made sense for 2
and acknowledge that they both actively listen to the community (you can bitch at them whenever you want on Nolt) and filter out the retards on Reddit and the Steam forums who can't tell the difference between floorhugging and crouch canceling (prior to the auto-floorhug change, obviously).
tl;dr i liked your video but it's simultaneously obvious that /v/ has poisoned your mind.
