I haven't checked them all but Knightmon's Berserk Sword is the strongest Steel attack I've seen (120 power +50% Crit, and bonus to Knights), though it has a big accuracy demerit you have to use attachments to fix.

The card is cool, and you can see a lot of new mons that haven't made it into the major games yet. I think it's a pretty easy to learn game that still has some room for some fun interactions and it always feels good when your gameplan starts working and you can bring out your big mons to sweep. That said i'm not much of a card game guy and I jumped on it late but my buddies who are tell me that 1) power creep is real as hell (a common thing in TCGs anyway), and 2) as mainly MTG players the level of reactivity you have when its not your turn is low to none depending your deck oh and 3) Scarcity is a bitch. It's still a popular game but not was widespread as MTG or pokemon so finding cards can be a pain sometimes

Having played through the game on both Eng and now JP, I can confirm that they're both pretty bad. Eng has a slightly better Hiroko and JP has a slightly better Mercurymon. That's about the length and breadth of quality differences. Why is Time Strangers being so successful? Frankly as much as I had my issues with Cyber Sleuth, the franchise already deserved by then to have surpassed Pokemon. I know from the leaks that Gamefreak always intended to make things bigger and more complex if not by the deadlines, but that isn't an excuse and in the end the games all ended up bare bones making you want a lot more.
I loved Cyber Sleuth, I am enjoying Survive (Survive is the reason I haven't played Time Strangers yet). I can understand why Survive wasn't as popular since it runs on a different format, but I don't get why only now Digimon is exploding.

Not all the movies were awful, but as a whole it was severely lacking.

A universal 5% crit rate isn't actually that bad when combined with other things, especially now that Bond affects critical rate too. You can for example steal an item from Aegiomon that boosts CRT damage by 20%, equipment that boosts crit rate and use Digimon with with crit based uniques like Beelstarmon or UlforceVeedramon. It might not be the strongest possible build, but you can definitely get some use out of it.
You just don't really need them until endgame fights or Mega+.

Actually winning is fulfilling in a way similar to Dark Souls and with maxed out Agent skills all digivolutions can be done super easily so long as personalities match but the grinding is annoying because even regular enemies can kick your ass if you aren't paying attention. Ideally your team of 6 should cater to whatever the next boss is at any given time but they're split up via Vaccine/Data/Virus, Physical/Magical/Support but during battle you typically only have one attacker out at a time, you need a tank(Craniamon or Jesmon work well for this) and a healer(MarineAngemon got powercrept by Venusmon) because even jobbers can deal 30-50 percent of your health if they get a good hit.

I still think this is the overall best digimon game ever, but having sat with it for a bit it's definitely lacking in some departments especially in the latter half. The process of failing, rewinding, and succeeding in gathering the Apostles gets very tedious very quickly, and most of the human cast save for a couple are pretty underwhelming and not given the proper amount of spotlight. Digiride is also pretty lacking in some of its choices for what is and isn't rideable, and never really that useful to begin with when you already have a run button.

But the digimon cast, all of them, even the background npcs in the villages, are incredible and all super likeable. And mechanically it's the most sound and well developed game in the series by a longshot, with a pretty decent story to boot despite some pacing issues in the second half.

Digimon World 3 is fun, but only if you can tolerate bullshit backtracking.
Use a walkthrough and save yourself the troubles.

Digimon Digital Card Battle is also very fun, and works super well as a standalone game.

Digimon Rumble Arena or Digimon Rumble Arena 2 is a fun fighting game for some quick gameplay, but you wouldn't play more than an hour if you're not playing with a friend.

Everything else is skippable and not really that good.
